Putting this out there as I don't really need it. I have a 2003 Ford Focus for sale. 172,xxx miles on the clock. 5 speed. Paint sucks, AC isn't cold, but it is tons of fun to drive. Really want $2000 for all of it, but as always, cash talks.
Mods:
Steeda exhaust
Steeda motor mounts
Front and rear strut bars
"Cold Air" intake, i do not have the air box to put back to stock
FSWERKS Lower Front Stress Bar
Ford SVT Focus Suspension Kit - Not sure how many miles, but id say less than 3-4k on them.
Continental Extreme Contact Sport tires on Fiesta ST rims.
Seats are comfortable, but my fat ass wore throught the fabric.
Located just north of Orlando,FL. Let me know if you need pictures or have any questions.
The no AC part is unfortunate. However, I wonder f this could be a "fly in, compete and drive home" for The Challenge?
Back out the price of the extra wheel and back out the price of the tires (since budget exempt.) With those removed, is this a sub $2k car?
Not asking for myself but hoping that it could be for someone else.

I really don't know what a reasonable price for the spare wheels/tires would be, same for the ones on it. Depending on that, i would say sub 2k is possible. I can also probably work out delivery to the challenge if that is something someone would find helpful. I drove this car 100miles round trip every day for 2 years. I wouldn't hesitate to jump in and drive to gator country.
Hmmm...I know people here in the Atlanta area looking for a good Ford platform to build a LeMons car. Let me check with them... but the offer would have to be pretty low.

does it have cruise control? I wonder if there's still kits out there to add it
Sorry i haven't responded to the questions, we had a baby and things are a wee bit hectic. It has/had cruise control and all of the associated stuff is there, but i have no idea if it actually works because i have never used it. I will try to take it out this weekend and check. No maintenance records unfortunately.
Willing to let it go cheap 2k-ish cash, trade for a complete working 2zz for my MR2, or possibly trade for a pickup project for running to the orange/blue store and back.
2.0 or 2.3?
I'm in Orlando on vacation this week. Would be a long way to drive it back to MI, but I'd do bad bad things for a rust free Focus with the 2.3 engine.
edit: nvm the picture answered my question. Duh
