Maybe it melted in the fire.

Poor thing - so neglected.

Engine probably melted, along with the owners wallet.

Are non-running, incomplete, second tier Lambos really going for that kind of money now?  Wow.

The engine probably was swapped into a challenge car

I fancied my self as a knowledgeable car guy yet I never knew of this model of Lamborghini. It is pretty neat looking

There's a big difference between selling price and asking price. Two people have to agree it's worth that much for a selling price, only one person has to think that if it's an asking price :)

It's probably in the Rolls' trunk.

Ad says, "removed for rebuilding and misplaced..." which could mean almost anything... like sent to an engine re-builder who went out of business (or...) and didn't keep very good records so that customers could get their items back.   Years ago went I delivered auto parts, I remember walking through some small shops with engines all over the place and no tags on any of them. I'm sure the shop owner knew exactly what each one of the engines was and who owned it, but if something happened to him... Now what?   Then a liquidator comes in, wants the building empty ASAP and sends everything to scrap.

This should have been posted in the delusional Craigslist thread.

If it was a decent price it would be cool for a Tesla transplant ,

Looks like it is a rear burn car. Is the motor in the rear of this car?

Transverse mid-engine, so it's possible.

I think they have an extra digit on that price from where I would remotely consider it, being as it was obviously on fire and it looks like the interior is pretty trashed.

Except they made less than 800 and if you feel you need one you will pony up, especially if you have an exotic V8 looking for a home.

Did someone already sell the engine on BAT??

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1973-lamborghini-urraco-3/

I think someone needs to get a bit realistic. There should be about 3 more price drops of that size.

Friend pulled the engine from her 68 vette 427 / 4 speed. Engine was at her ex's place for years. She put a SBC in in meantime... and her ex does "not know" where engine went over the years (kinda her fault for leaving it there over a decade)

Fun ride, even with the small block.
'Course I never cared enough to run the vin; might have just been a "427/350 hp" (don't remember hp at moment) emblem attached to the center console. She did have a lot of cool cars, though!!!

Consider me curious how a lamborghini ends up on cinder blocks in some weird storage place.

A lot of cars like this suffered similar fates back in the pre-internet days when finding repair shops willing to work on old Italian cars wasn't so easy... and finding parts to repair them was equally difficult.
