Sounds nice if you got cash and ambition.

How's this for heresy? I wonder how much glass work it would take to adapt that body to fit an Exocet chassis.
$9,000 seems like a bit much for a basket of parts. I'd take that for my Japanese Cobra for anyone really wanting a loud roadster. And it runs and drives already.

Wasn't the 427 an FE engine?

And the 428!

Still sort of an OK engine, but it's heavy. Also, pushrods through the intake! WOW.
Sorry you RUN from that even at 4-5K.
You would be better off spending 3K on that then throwing it away and then getting a FFR kit from a financial perspective as well.
I keep an Eye Open For a Cobra Body. I have a Nice chassis(ERA)427 fire damaged, I would use a 390 in a Heart Beat If building for Looks and HP is plenty for a Street Car.
A guy I work with wants to find a cheap Cobra body to put on a Blazer or Bronco chassis. Just because.

I am Glad that Carroll Shelby chose it as his First Choice
