interesting.. "I might give this away if I get lowball offers"

*This is just testing waters. I might give this away if I get lowball offers.

This is a project car. It does run and drive but you will need to bring a trailer as it is not finished and not yet registered. ( registration fee is paid) .

1994 Corrado VR6 Burgundy 192K miles, manual 5 speed.

A little bit of background
I bought this something like 9 years ago(ish) and I drove it weekly until right before the pandemic when the chains started developing some slack and I decided it is time to replace the chains and the tensioners and guides. You know , the usual 12V VR6 stuff. While I was doing those I found a couple of other things that needed some attention and I decided to do a more involved project with a bunch of replacements.
Unfortunately the pandemic hit , work became a nightmare and the car became less of a priority. I also had other cars at the time and I just did not have the time to finish the little Rado.
I have done little things here and there and I was going to finish it at the beginning of next year when I wanted to do bottom end work and a paint job, but life decided to hit again and I have to move. Unfortunately I cannot take the little Rado ( we named it Pearl ) with me and my son, who I was trying to build the car for, is not in the position to take on the project on his own so I am hoping to find it a good home.

What you get in it

* New rebuild head installed this year. It still needs to be broken in since the car has not been driven since. WEll a couple rounds around the block to make sure it works.

* ARP head studs instead of the OEM bolts for ease of work on the car should you decide to take the head out , also no head floating should you decide to add some chargers.

* New cooling system. And I mean everything:
- new Mishimoto silicon hoses
- new radiator
- new aluminium radiator top elbow
- new T-stat housing
- new aluminium crack pipe
- new metal water pump
- new sensors
* new alternator
* new MAF sensor
* new Aux water pump
* new Oil pump
* timing chains, tensioner and guides along with the pins have been replaced at around 176K
* a bunch of other new things( sensors etc)
* rebuild transmission installed at around 176k. It has the lower 5th gear for rev purposes on hill drives because I am not a highway cruiser type.
* new Motor mounts. ( If I remember correctly think BFI stealth with the solid G60 transmission mount rather than the weak hydraulic type the CR^ came with. Installed around 176K
* FK G2 coilovers BUT with Adjustable Koni sport Yellow Inserts. These also installed at around 176K. To me it rides fantastic. Especially on wavy mountain roads but it is rather smooth on highway as well.
* Neuspeed sway bar with rear adjustable links. I cannot remember if the front is also adjustable , I think not.
* new Fuel pump
* new metal oil filter housing.
* new oil cooler and hoses
various other little thing.

What else you get separately (look through pictures) :
* the old head, which is perfectly fine, it just needs a cleaning and a valve job unless you want to do some porting etc. I got the new head for an incredible price from an qauintance( less than the cost of a proper valve job) and did not need to return the core so I kept it.
* the old aluminium cover ( the new head is from a alter mk3 with plastic cover)
* the old fuel pump assembly( which was running fine before replacement. I replaced it when I cleaned the fuel tank because I though since I was in there I might as well do a pump swap.
* the old MAF which still works but I had a new one given to me. for the price of shipping
* the old ignition coil which was still fine when I took it out
* full set of FAG wheel bearings, front and rear, with front wheel hubs as well. I bought them as spares because FAG stopped making them. OF course there are other vendors but in my experience ( this is my 3rd Corrado BTW) they are not as good as FAG
* new Oxygen sensor
* various little bits, hoses, bolts, sensors etc. Check the pictures.
* a brand new full Rieger front grille kit ( I did not install it yet, still in the factory packaging)

Now the bad things :

The hood should be replaced if you can find one, One of the previous owners replaced the hood cable mechanism ( probably because the cable and or guides broke) and put hood pins instead. I never liked this setup but it was a minor annoyance.
Paint, I was going to repaint it with the original color.I know someone who does color matching for VAG colors.
It has a bunch of the typical Corrado issues:
Sunroof is out. I was looking to replacing it with an Mk3 unit but I was also flirting with the idea of just deleting it.
there is a tiny bit of surface rust on the famous back window lower corner ( driverside) . Fortunately the car has been fully garaged for basically the entire time I owned it so it is only surface,.
The driver seat is in bad shape.
Windows have their well known slack.
The center console is cracked. you will need a replacement or someone very skilled at dealing with plastics. I heard there is a 3d model of in somewhere online so you can probably 3d print it out of something like PPA-CF ( which is what I was intending on doing)
The interior ( especially the headliner) is dirty.

Oh and currently the oil pan is leaking a bit. I did not have a new gasket for it when I put the car together for this sale and apparently I did a bad job with the gasket maker hack job I attempted . I can order and install a new gasket if this is a problem but honestly , if you buy the car you should probably to a bottom end job on it like I was planning and you can replace it yourself then.

I always wanted a Corrado but CA is too far away for me.

Super rare year/color for a corrado.  Having owned one, and having basically another one blown apart as parts in my basement I can say that this car will take a substantial amount of work plus parts hunting to get into decent condition.  If it was local to me and I still had my parts horde and the price was right (IE, really low) I'd be tempted.

However without a parts horde, this is going to be a tough car to get back into proper shape, if that's your goal.
