Was about to renew Classic Motorsports for one more year but to be honest this rubs me the wrong way. I get you want to have sustainable revenue stream but don't have to deal with setting up a subscriber account on CM, go to dashboard and uncheck auto renewal.
Interestingly, unlike Classic Motorsports, the Grassroots Motorsports renewal page does force you to accept automatic renewal before credit card info can be entered but adds it by default.
Current GRM subscription is good till 2030's last I checked and CM is also good for a few more years so plan to pass on extending renewals for both this year.
Agreement to subscription automatic renewal terms required to process order

Hm, will look into that next week. The back end on these order pages is all new, since our fulfillment folks went to a different software (which was exactly the nightmare you might imagine), and it sounds like all the terms are not fully sorted--we like to have them the same across the board for users, without forcing auto renew. Thanks for ordering!

is there a number of the mailing label from an old issue we need to include so it adds on to the old subscription ?
and I also do not like the auto renew , is that going to be killed off or do we need to wait for someone to change the webpage ?
Thanks
The automatic subscription renewal requirement is still on the web page. I want to control when I renew. Can you please fix this?
Thanks.
I believe that's hard-coded into our provider's order pages, but you can login to https://my.grassrootsmotorsports.com after purchase to turn off auto-renewal, change your address, etc.
These days auto-renewal isn't just common in the world, but we literally get angry calls when a subscription DOESN'T auto-renew. Usually the conversation is basically "Why'd you stop mailing me the magazine? Of course I ignored all the renewal reminders, I figured it would auto-renew just like my Netflix, phone bill, etc.! Why'd you cancel my subscription!?"
You'll need to log in to post.
