Back in the day, the 1600/2000 was viewed as aesthetically inferior to the MGB, but technically superior, both with good reason.
They looked dated even when they came out and time hasn't really changed that. Always liked the fairly rare version of the 2000 that cam with uprated cam and side draft Solex, and 150 bhp though.
I just love these cars. An autox's buddy has a really nasty one that is just so much fun to watch.
