Rear brakes?

Our Elva didn’t come with any–at least when we bought the car.

We did know, however, that our Elva Mk VI originally came with inboard drum brakes at the rear.

As the orginal owner of Elva Courier #122 that lives in Dallas, I have been to Kip. They are not cheap, but you can find some orginal stuff.

Small world: my dad bought a 1959 Hillman Minx new.  I don't remember the brakes as being particularly noteworthy, though.
