very excited... had to tell someone, anyone!!
The Trabant rally car is alive!!! the new engine fired
off last night at 9:30 for the first time...
I'm starting to rethink the open exhaust abit now
its really quite loud.... sounds like a big evil chainsaw
now if the brakes bleed out and hold
pressure we should make cars and coffee in
louisville on sat morning
not gonna make it afterall....
the master cyl that i had "profesionally"
resleeved and rebuilt wont flow any fluid!!
so no brakes=no go... have to sort that out
so mabey july c&c instead. I'll reserve bitching about
who did the master till i find out how they handle
the problem...
PROGRESS!!! check the link for video of the
trabant's maiden voyage around the block!
brakes work, master cyl fixed... check balls were
left out ... now only about a half million kinks
to work out and were off!

Two strokes will make more power with a 'tuned pipe' on them, not sure how easy that is to manage in a car though.
Walking around Seattle two years ago, saw three of them parked in the same residential block. One was a wagon. Someone here might know the story.
Outstanding! Watching it pass the Expedition was priceless. Sounds great, but libel to make you deaf. Cool Car!
