Anyone have one? How do you like it? Pondering my next car when the BMW goes past the point of no return. I like the looks, the AWD, the turbo motor - but have little experience with dual clutch auto transmissions....are they really that good?
Money better spent on an older WRX wagon?
The wagon is just sexy...

The one that autox'd locally with us had body roll for days.....but they always seemed to have fun. Other than that, I have nothing to add.
Aren't they "just" a somewhat detuned Evo? I think we've got a bunch of Evo X threads flying around here somewhere...

I'm pretty sure it's a regular Lancer body/suspension with the EVO drivetrain bits. The trans doesn't have super pursuit mode(or whatever it's called), turbo is smaller, cams are smaller, etc.
I wouldn't kick one out of my garage. I wanted to get a wagon to replace my WJ Grand, then I remembered I suck financially.
I test drove one when they first came out. I found it uninspiring and bought an 09 WRX instead. Faster, better seats (surprisingly), felt like it handled better, etc. YMMV though.....

Good info, thanks. Need to find one locally to test drive.

you can swap the evox turbo bits into this car, considered one but bought a WRX instead.

on the evo forums there was a topic on this and it was determined the engine and the internals are the same.

when doing so, keep in the back of your head that it feels softer than it "should" and that f/r sway upgrade and some steering rack bushings work wonders on the GH WRX....and are very easy installs (the 08+ you don't have to drop the front subframe like you had to on earlier models)

Seems like you could say that if the Ralliart felt softer than it should you could simply bolt on some swaybars and bushings too. It's just kind of ironic to imply that the wrx is preferable and then try to set up a soft landing when someone is disappointed in the wrx.
