Your tire is too tall, and the offset is (possibly) too high. Run a 215/40 and you'll fix all of your issues, ideal offset for a tire of that size would be ~7" wide at +35 or so. You can go a bit more aggressive than that without hurting too much, I run 7.5" wide wheels with a +31 offset, for reference.
MR2's don't like taller than stock tires in the front, it's just the nature of the strut design. No need to slot/redrill the struts unless you want to for more gainzzzz.
