The Miata in SIXTH GEAR is @ 4000rpms @80mph. With the terrible drone the exhaust has, it's pretty awful.

I don't care about revs so much as long as they don't come with a ridiculous amount of noise or harshness. The MX6 and Celica were ok on the highway.

Escort was fine as well, actually.

The Miata sucks, and i imagine the Escort will be a nightmare. With the Miata, i just don't understand how an exhaust so quiet outside the car can be so loud inside. It's seriously 1.5x as loud as the MX6 is inside.

and my truck in 4th gear is 2000rpms. Although, at 1600-1700rpms the magnaflow on the truck does drone, but ONLY in that 100rpm range under load. Don't get me wrong, it sounds magnificent, but listening to it drone for hours would suck.... so I just bump the speed a little to get past that point.

What's funny, towing hte chitvic out to Lincoln 3rd gear was barely turning 2300rpms at 75 with plenty of power to do whatever. I still want a supercharger on that engine in this application.
