So is it happening?
This was the year that everything was changed and made better
No. Last event was 2008. As far as I know, it won't ever run again. As I understand it, the Hershey Hotel (owners of the actual hill) don't want it).
I ran the 2003 event with my Sprite.....it was a very neat event. Too bad it couldn't keep going.
But you can always run any of the PA Hillclimb events. Many of them are older just as much history. There's a mix of modern and older cars running in the PAHA.

Never say never. I'm sure people thought it wouldn't come back after the first time. There is a lot of construction going on at the hotel (building cottages I believe), so maybe after all that is done it will make a return. You can be assured that they will keep trying to get it back.
I'm kicking around the idea of heading south to run one of the PA hillclimbs this summer or next. Largely, dependant on scheduling conflict. Love to turn it into a mini vacation as its a bit of hall from Vermont. Any particular venue better than others in terms of making a camping oriented vacation?
Still have to figure out how rules/classes jive with my home organization.
Mike, I go to the Vermont hillclimbs. Just looking to expand my horizons a bit. We get a few of the PA folks that visit, it would be nice to return the favor.
Rose Valley is the most picturesque area, methinks. Also the one in Maryland is in a nice locale. Duryea and Pagoda are both on the city edge but are the most challenging courses. Giant's is kind of a snooze unless you have a big HP car. I've never run Weatherly but it's in a nice area also.

talk to dave patten he has run some of the pa hillclimbs.. he may be able to help u.. he does the vt hillclimbs sometimes. he is also a member of sccnh..
No they are all on the eastern side. Polish Mountain is part of the PA Hillclimb series, but is actually in Flintstone, Maryland. That is the closest one for people from western PA (basically due south from Bedford, PA). There are also two events, one memorial day weekend, and one labor day weekend held on the Jefferson circuit at Summit Point.
This will be my first full season, so I can't speak from experience, but I have ridden my motorcycle up Giant's and Weatherly. I think you will find Pagoda and Duryea to be challenging, and possibly the most fun. There is on site camping there I believe (at least there was at Pagoda last year), as well as French Creek State Pak about half an hour away.
