So on the website, the dates are listed with distances in between. We know it starts and ends at the tirerack HQ. I've been at this all morning. Going backwards the only track i know for sure is Putnam is the last track since the distance matches up perfectly. Otherwise, no idea. It's 697 from tirerack to the first track and that could be a few different options. Anyone else want to help me crack this map game?
Site says first track is 697 miles from The Tire Rack. Google says that VIR is 691 miles???
There are probably some clues on what drag strip is just 34 miles from a race track? Not at the same facility. This is then a free standing drag strip. If Putman is last, what dragstrip is 378 miles from Putman (or nearly 6 hours from Putman)?
Autoxing is held at a track. That limits some places. In my year we did that at NCM.
In reply to John Welsh :
I was thinking that too, and then maybe Atlanta motorsports park
In reply to camopaint0707 :
Google say 376 miles from VIR to AMP
Brock says 368...could be.
Next after that is 621 miles.
AMP to NOLA is only 537
AMP to Sebring is 577
I was figuring within a few miles is close enough since we don't know exactly what mapping service he used.
so I need a drag strip with a road course 34 miles away, and the drag strip is 378 miles from putnam park. any ideas?
Quaker City dragway just south of Youngstown, OH is 375 miles from Putman Park, and is exactly 34 miles from PittRace per Google maps. I think that may be your bogey. To that end, Nelson's Ledges is 32 miles from Quaker City, so that could be the road course, too. But I'd imagine Pittrace would be better equipped for high dollar machinery.
In reply to Puddy46 :
But they were at Nelson Ledges last year. I would think these events often yield an invitation next year ( or a request from management to never return again, ha.)
Since the course is most typically a circle route my guess then is the first stop is more west or swest out of South Bend. Maybe not VIR.
In reply to John Welsh :
You're right, I forgot they were at Nelsons last year. That's my bad.
Motorsports Park Hastings is 696miles

VIR would have been nice; it's been over a decade(?) since the last time OneLap was last there.
This is fun, so...
Tire Rack South Bend, IN
+ 697 = Hastings
+ 368 = ? Google says 367 to High Plains
+ 621 = ? Google says 618 to Hallet
+ 542 = ? w/ autox capability as well NCM is too far @ 666 miles and Gateway in E. St Louis is too close at 436 miles
+ 519 = Nelson or PittRace
+ 34 = Quaker City Drag
+ 378 = Putnam
+ 187 = Tire Rack
Its 1057 miles from Hallet to Nelson Ledges and 542+ 519 = 1061 so it would have to fall very close to the direct route. What tracks are near Effingham, IL or Evansville, IN? And, it has to be autox capable.

Hastings and High Plains would grab my attention. I've been waiting for Brock to do a more Western One Lap again, I'd like to do it again using my 911 this time. By the time I could actually pull off the time off, it'd probably be old enough for vintage foreign
There is a brand new track on the schedule this year...that's the one you are missing and will change everything else in your proposed route. Private track. I had never heard of it before.
In reply to Puddy46 :
We actually ran hallett two years straight. 22/23 so I wouldn't count any track out because they were there last year
So we think....it's hastings, high plains, hallett, msr houston, (idk), putnam. but after what hollis said I'm ready to throw it all out
I've never used the A.I. stuff, but this seems like something it could figure out if asked correctly. Just need it to ping Google maps for tracks at those distances with the start and finish at Tire rack.
Does that new Tennessee track help solve the issue?
In reply to Andy Hollis :
Is it the one near KC on the south side? They are running a NASA event there this year too. Looks like the owner is letting other people play on his private playground.
You guys have about 70% of it right.
I'm not going to answer direct questions so as not to spoil your fun.
I will say that a couple of noted OLOA regulars figured it out in 24 hours...so y'all need to step up your game. The info is all out there.

If it's coming to HPR I'll take the day off work and come out and watch/meet everyone. If anyone needs me to bring them something to the track, just ping me ahead of time.
Same for hastings. I'll probably venture that way or if there an issue in the area. Have tools will travel.
