Can anyone point me to some more information about that car on the right? I think it was at the 2006k challenge?

Thanks in advance.

I can't help you with the one on the right (blue), but I can tell you the one on the left (red) is mine. Curmudgeon built it and took it to the Challenge in 06. I bought it from him.

The one on the left is cool. I'd love to know what that bumper cover came off of.

Crap! My dyslexia was showing, I've fixed this post. Right, left, blue, red. Duh!

Wasn't that the car by Dave Herr and Greg Smith? I think Dave still has it. Carlisle PA area.

Bumper cover looks like a cut up 99-00 civic bumper

Not the original one. This is Curmudgeon's version of it. The Trazda Abomination. Rotary engine, Miata uprights and brakes, custom front A-arms, shortened steering rack, cut down Miata IRS in the back with Miata LSD, Yamaha R1 shocks. The only thing left that's made by Triumph, is the sheet metal and the dash pad and the steering wheel.

It's a 150hp, pissed off, go-cart. Fun to drive, but exciting at times.

What about the White and Blue one....

I have a 2.3 Turbo Ford from an '87 T-bird coupe looking for a home. Stumbled onto this pic. I think the Ford lump would do well in a Spitfire. Looking for information on the swap, rear end type and opinion on the finished product (worth it?)

I wish I could help. If you don't have an answer here by Sunday afternoon, bump this again for the weekday crowd. Someone on here knows.

If all else fails, see if GRM has the back issue for the 06 Challenge.

The Turbo 2.3 has been done a few times, internet search will reveal all.
For example:

There was a guy here in Jacksonville building a 2.3 turbo spitfire. Don't remember his name but he owned a used car dealership called Warehouse Motors. Sorry not a lot of info.
