Damn. Man that was a good race, I went to bed with the Toyota in 1st and woke up with an LMP2 car in the lead. As much as I am not a fan of Toyota as a car company i was really rooting for them this year after what happened last year, just heartbreaking.

Talking about the Aston Vette issue, the RLM guys said the dive bomb may have been not the best idea but we are talking Le Mans. I would also argue that nothing I have read indicates that the contact between the cars into Arnage caused the puncture. Either way it was a great race and I need to figure out a way to get there to see it in person one of these days.

That seems like a pretty steep penalty for what seemed like an inventive solution. I liked watching them bang the starter with a pipe during their pit stops in order to get the engine re-fired. The irony of a company that sells $12k watches resorting to banging their racecar with a pipe was great to watch. Seems like in a perfect world they would be given a bonus prize for that kind of effort.
