Not mine. Wife says I should get it.

Your wife should yell at you to get it! 'Says' is too weak of a word.
I think I'm in love with that car....
Needs about a 6" top chop, but I'd bet that would mean drivers would have to be about 4'6". There is something about the lines of Euro cars of that age that I like. They are kind of disproportionate roofwise, but still look good. Traction Avant comes to mind-

You obviously haven't met foxtrapper...
If the wife says you should get it, this thread is mistitled... it should be, "Look at this cool car I just bought!!"
Is it $1900 or $3500? The title and ad text don't agree. Good buy for the former, not so much for the latter.

Lucky I can't find a Spell Nazi picture.

The text says that he's reduced the price to $1900.
I have to make a call about borrowing a trailer now. I can't even explain why I want this.

Crap, I missed that. BTW, you don't need a reason to want a car like this. If it was closer I'd have already bought it.

I have many reasons why I shouldn't want this. Foremost amongst them, I'm not sure I get it in the garage with two MGBs and a Mercedes.
The seller is the neighbor of a friend of mine. He's been trying to talk me into it for awhile. It was $3500, I gave him my opinion that the "rarity" angle was destroyed to the unoriginality so it was more on the "quirky project" pricing scale now.
The $1900 is closer to reality, I had proposed a lower number (theoretically since I don't have the space for another project) and it was accepted so there's some room in that price.
Since it's already unoriginal I think it's screaming for a Miata drive train personally.
Not mentioned in the ad, but as it was described over on the Lemons boards "It looks like someone swapped in the whole floor from another car. and never attached it, so it needs a good deal of work.."
That's a little disconcerting for what I'm led to believe is a unibody car (I could be entirely wrong about that part though)

Since you've seen it, how much rust are we looking at?

I haven't seen it, just going on descriptions from my friend and posts on the Lemons board but see my above edit about the floor.

I see. That sounds slightly worse than I had hoped.
