Looks like the Nelson clan continues their shenanigans.
1967 Lambo. Like father, like son.

At this point you know what I am bringing. When we were registering we had completely different plans. Then things changed. Long story short, the "Lambo" will be there next year
i can push the start button and crap idles and revs, think the cooling system is bled, and there is very little wiring left to do. i'm feeling confident, the car can almost come down off the stands.
just did my spreadsheet last night and i still have $20.85 left in budget and $105.90 left to recoup if i can off something to one of my typical "if i offer this part cheap enough he'll buy it no matter what it is" hoarder buddies. was getting nervous but i sold the transmission that came with the car and used the video from last year's event to prove how well it shifted.
I thought I was bringing the newest car this year, but John has me beat.
The car I hope to be bringing is a 2004 RX8, not a 1991 Miata.
Maybe that will make the average a little better.
Is someone really going to race an F-350 Crew Cab?
I

My guess is that it's the tow vehicle. LOL
Recouped enough today to come within $15 of the limit, my buddy's friend is building a v8 s10 and bought the distributor and tins from the engine that came with the car so i have enough left for a couple critical gauges
Hood pins, battery tie down, bleed brakes, bleed clutch, fix fused clutch... ugh. Here's to the next 16 days :)
Should be picking my van up today or tomorrow.
I decided to not use the second odyssey because of fear over its fragile transmission giving up the ghost while racing it.

Strange part is how many "mustang" wheels I've owned that don't fit or aren't actually for the mustang I own. Still trying to decide what car I'm bringing and what exact direction I'm heading with the car but I do have lots of interesting ideas.
Whoa, whoa, I want in on slick sharing haha.
But seriously.....slick sharing?
The Problem Child continues to be.... problematic, another engine scare has been averted.
Bodywork is in final stages
Electrical is almost done
Test drives coming soon
Someone coming from idaho? Sweet
There is very little chance I'm coming this year. I can get the car done but life is throwing me curveballs

Nooooo! I don't want to be the heaviest car!
Who is bringing beer for the best cheapest beer contest. 6 pack under $7.00, must be from your home state, who has the stones to bring it.

A quick beer challenge rules question. If I buy a $9 six pack and drink two of them before the event, can I recoup $3 from my budget?

We leave is 8 days. If anyone needs things hauled and/or items listed in the flea market thread, please get with us asap. The trailers were re-tired, brakes checked, bearings checked, lights checked, and inspected weeks ago. Cleaned and started packing the first one yesterday. Second trailer will be cleaned and packed next weekend.

Not sure how we are putting pressure on you. I apologize for that. For us, we pulled our white trailer over 100K thru 23 states racing all over the eastern half of this Great Country. Our goal is to teach the boys good habits so they don't have struggles in their travels and at their race events. As well prepped as we are, we have still wore out stuff on the road. Again, I apologize.
You'll need to log in to post.
