Hey,

Currently babysitting my daughters RDX.

It is displaying some goofy error messages from the charging system. Car starts fine, seems OK other than the error messages. I used the code reader at Oreillys and it only found some apparently minor problems with the ABS.

I have been snooping around for an Acura forum as useful as this Forum. No luck. (Noobs and fanboys for the most part.)

Any tips?

TIA,

Rog

It takes some digging, but I have found reasonable information at Acurazine.

In reply to boulder_dweeb :

Can you get the exact error code or message? I can ask around work tomorrow and see what the most common fix could be.

Yikes. Recent Acura branding has lead nearly ALL enthusiasts of Acura vehicles as young men with gold chains and chrome wheels. Which means hardly any in depth info other than “oh sh!t dawg, mine did that too so I took it to the dealer. They scammed me for a lot of money!”

acurazine had all the answers I was looking for when I owned an RDX.

There's a sensor dealy thingy on the positive battery cable that has a habit of taking a dump. OR was that on hte MDX? I think it was on both.... Damn I'm getting old. I'm forgetting E36 M3.

Thanx again.

Acurazine has been great.

The serpentine belt was replaced with the alternator.

The codes are:

61-1 Batt voltage malfunction and

83-1 ECM/PCM relation malfunction

Thanks again,

Rog

Yikes! Yo Dawg Trackmouse that's some awful generalization you got going there.

Could be the replacement belt is too long causing the alternator to slip
