Some may know I'm in progress on the 8.8 swap. I need to find a place that has fittings to convert from (I believe, according to research) my celica's m10-1 inverted flare, to Ford Explorer 8.8 hardline of 3/8" and whatever that size thread is and whatever flare it has (I found conflicting information, and in regards to Rangers, not explorers) by the way, both lines are 3/16 tube. I have a nice stainless steel flex line already in the Celica to the current axle, so I would like to keep that.

If that rear doesnt already take metric fittings it should be standard 3/16 line with 3/8x24 fittings.

Weatherhead #1443 is m10x1.0 inverted male to 3/8-24 female, the above link is the first interchangeable part I could find online.

NAPA, Auto Zone et al carry metric to English and English to metric fittings.

I'll have to look when I get home. It's a funky setup, going from metric to standard, but I know others have done it. I poured over the dorman catalog, they have stuff, but pretty vague, and most of it is to adapter 3/8 line to 3/16... Of no help.

Thanks man, I'll try them today. The hard part is matching size, flare type, and then male/female ends in that exact configuration...

Why not just cut the tube and reflare with the fitting you need. Tube size is standard, its just the fittings stuck on the end that change.

1443 is a good Weatherhead number in the NAPA system. $2.59 ea.

I would, but that requires purchasing a "kit" of tools, and you can't do it right with el cheapo brake flare kits. I've read up on it. Why go through the hassle when the simple answer is there?
