While Prius #1 has been in the shop I have driving Prius #2. It has a quirk that is bothering me.

When the wiper blade goes down and when it goes to the rest position it goes down farther than factory intended. On the passenger side this causes a wiper to plastic "smack" on every pass.

The driver's side also does not "rest" parallel to the bottom of the windshield.

How do I adjust/correct this?

The arms are bolted to a splined shaft. Unbolt and rotate both arms 1 spline and rebolt. Verify the park position is satisfactory.

looks like it might need more then 1 spline, but yea just unbolt, adjust and cycle the wipers to make sure you're happy with the placement. just a fair warning they are usually a pain to break loose of the splined shaft in my experience.

bonus points if you go to single wiper

I think I was more intimidate by the triangle-y piece than I needed to be.

Great success.

No.  Just no.  That wiper arm isn't painted yellow, so it's not right.

Ice and snow tend to nudge them out of place, might want to retighten them in the Fall.
