Hey, y'all runnin' 275/40R19's square (F/R) on the 'V'. Cooper RS3A's (500TW) and they are makin' me crazy. I'm sportin' twin ear buds (deafish) and I need to know if it's all me for not rotating/balancing with this tread width more often...... every 3k?? What say the HIVE???
Same tire here in a 235/45-17 on the Passat. I think I rotated them once......maybe. Quiet.
Do the tires show feathering or flat spots or anything? Any weird vibrations that change with speed? Have you checked the wheel bearings?
I will second checking the wheel bearing. One of the GFs had one go bad in 40k, and swore it was a 'messed up tire'.
Also check your alignment for sanity. The string method will let you know if you are too far out usually. Some random toe can play havoc on tires and handling.
No feathering/flat spots....will check alignment. Bearing noise would be a constant no?
Also be sure to check for loose fender liners, another thread reminded me ive had them come loose and make fun noises.
