Clearly there is a racing opportunity here. You have X budget to buy, at auction, vehicle(s) to build into a drag race car, using only the parts on the car(s) you bought at auction, in Y timeframe, to race on site.

It's just like the challenge, only everything is on site. They could turn it into a "reality" show and have half the competitors not even pass tech.

Gonna happen? Hell no, but it could. Would it be that much different than various forms of junkyard wars?

Sure would be nice if you were allowed to do 1/4 mile test drives on the auction car that are listed as "run and drive."

Would also be nice if "run and drive" meant that the cars were capable of completely a 1/4 mile sprint.
