You know I am sitting here chuckling as I missed this thread back in 08. So I am reading the first post and I am trying to guess the car that the motor is in. As soon as I got the the photos of the exhaust system mounting of the cherry bombs I recognized it immediately. One of those light bulb moments of hay that is just like my car.. . . . Kind of sad that I could not ID it from the top of the engine compartment but I can ID it by looking at the front sub frame rails and the TT.

in december '09 I put it on eBay, three day auction, no reserve. dude from somewhere in illinois won the auction at $1,926.00. i asked him to keep me posted but he didn't, so i have no idea where it is or what it's being used for.

reading this thread made me all nostalgic, so i googled the name of the guy who bought my V8 corvair and shot him an email. last time i tried to buy it back, he was not interested in selling. maybe things will be different this time.
