I always thought a BMW 6 with a manual trans would be a nice combo for a SLC. It would be the 280SLC that was never sold in the US.

That would be just about perfect. Piss off BMW purists by shoving all of the mechanical bits from a 635csi into an SLC body. Including the ever-so-slighty off center exhaust.
