Autotrader has 170 listings for 2023-2024 Zs in the whole US. Many of them are just stock photos of vehicles "in transit". A whole bunch of the ones that seem legit are priced well over $60k with one crack smoking dealer over $129k.

There a couple in my local Nissan club.

Saw one the other day in silver. I also felt like it looked better in pictures than it did in person.  It looked big, not in a good way. Had a high waistline, looked more like a crossover than a sports car at first glance.

I've had the same impression since the 350Z.

Imagine if future allocation was based on how quickly they sold what they have.  Maybe that would cut down the insane prices.  More likely, they'd just "sell" them to an employee, then jack the price up selling it used.

I saw one on Woodward last night.  I saw a Mustang S650 convertible at the local weekly C&C as well.

Seen one in yellow. Meh

I don't like the front. The back and profile are fine

It's not a compelling car for me. Listened to Camissas review on his podcast and that was enough to basically forget it exists.

It feels like Nissan and the dealers are acting like it's the introduction from the original one and people are going to overpay cause it's just awesome.

If I was Nissan I'd run a lot of the $39,999 versions down the assembly line and flood the market before we all get bored.  All I see are $52,000 versions on the website.

Also is it that hard to tweak the body and give us a 510?

Saw a yellow one yesterday. I really liked the back end, front is pretty nondescript in person, but the thing that got me when I first saw it was the top window line. It looks really strange with no semi-horizontal line, like it's got this peak where the roof and the top of the windshield meet like a Tesla Cybertruck.

After seeing a few of the new BRZs running around, what I really want is a BRZ with the Z car rear end on it.

If it's even similar to the new Frontier it's going to suck.

I rented a Frontier truck this week for work - I get it - 300HP out of the V6 versus the Z 400HP and proper gearing and less weight and slippier form.  But that Frontier quickly ran out of steam - I wasn't impressed at the design.

Spotted one that looked to have just rolled off of the transporter at the local dealer yesterday. Pretty sure it was black under all of the protective plastic.

I live about 30 minutes from Nissan's North American headquarters and I still haven't seen one on the road.

Saw one today at auto-x.  Silver.

Front of the car looks really good, but back half, I couldn't help but feel they changed body panels on a 370.

I think it was some marketing guys, they had a Z and an Altima out there, and the cars had "Nissanjobs.com" (something close to that) in script on the back of the cars.

Performance wise, the driver got better each run, and the car was close to some of the new 86/BRZs.  It might've been the NISMO version, should've grabbed a pic, didn't.

Car sounded good too, very reminiscent of the originals.

I think some good wheels, drop it a bit, probably look a bit better to my eye.

I've seen literally ONE. And I live in an are (DC) where everyone has to have the latest hot thing immediately.....I see new Supras daily, plenty of pretty rare stuff. AMG G-Wagens all the time, plus plenty of heavily-built/tuned/modded midrange stuff (STi., BMWs, BRZs, whatever).

So not really sure what the deal with the Z is....even if it was a so-so car, I'd have expected to have seen a handful so far in this area where everyone has plenty of money (except me!). I mean, saw plenty of all the prior Z models when they were first out...just not this one.

Honestly, I don't get it. I think it looks pretty good, seems to be pretty good on paper, and isn't ridiculously expensive compared to other things IIRC.  I also like how it's understated and kind of low-key compared to something like a Supra, which is just a bit too boy-racer for my personal taste. Low-key keeps the speeding tickets down :)

I feel like it really needs a nice large lip spoiler (a la Porsche 944 turbo). Fastbacks look odd without spoilers (go look at an early 924 before they added spoilers....it looks strange too)

Saw one at WalMart in a city of about 800K.

I love the back-end, especially the taillights. The front end looks like something an intern finished up on hi sway out the door on Friday evening.

I thought I saw one approaching us yesterday but it was a new BRZ. Maybe I was just hopeful.

I've seen exactly one so far, it was driving the opposite way down a local street.  I wasn't sure what it was at first, but the rear end gave it away. I want to see a few more in the wild before I can say how I like them.

I see a decent amount of Supras. I liked them in print, but love them in person.

Finally saw one and my biggest takeaway is it had the strangest looking automatic shifter I've ever seen. Looks like a computer mouse.

I really haven't seen many on the road but it looks like the dealers are stocking up?  Kenosha, Wisconsin guy states 8 in stock/on order.

January, 2024 build date and it's November? Is this a true discount or is there a $5000 paint sealant package when I show up?

Here's a quote from one of their reviews-

"Went into the dealership to take a look at a Versa that they have advertised on their website for $8,000+ off msrp and after messaging with the salesperson, they are only to charge tax title license and a doc fee with the vehicle purchase. When I went in this was not the case. Even though the website shows this as a dealer discount, they could not honor that because they were rebates that I "did not qualify for." They came to $3,000 off msrp, not even half of what was shown online. They then told me that I had to pay for an additional $499 service fee, Nano Armor interior and exterior protection of $1,975 and a $699 tractor for recovery- something not necessary for the dealership as I wanted to pay cash for this car. For the car they have listed $8k off, they wanted more than msrp for by time they added all their fees. They also refused to match their own online price or take off any of the extras."

Nissan of Kenosha.

I've seen a few more of them now. I wonder if I'm just missing them. Its not a very distinctive car. Even the one I saw at a track day, I thought was a 370 at first.

For an instant I was blown away by the weight and thought, "They're making light car again!"... then I saw "FR". Geez, what's this tank weigh, about 4,200 lbs? Sports cars are now: "good suspension, and fast, but only because expensive tires cover the sins of excess mass."
