I’ve learned that pit transportation is very handy and our Lemons team has been gathering up different pit vehicles. So far we have 70 and 71 Rupps, another random mini bike, 2 normal bikes with motor kits, a moped, and some other hacked together bike/motor thing. We’ve all 12 years old again and have been spending a good amount of our free time working on the bikes and haven’t touched the race car in months.
What does everyone else have for mini bikes or pit transportation?
Here is my 1971 Rupp Enduro in the back and my teammate Pat’s 1970 Rupp Sprint. I bought the Enduro as a ratty frame and installed a Predator 7hp engine, new torque converter, and welded up a custom exhaust to fit the frame.
I found myself with an extra electric start Honda engine so I built this pit bike, and it has a hitch to tow the race car or my kart around the pits. Since this pic was taken, I have added front disc brakes and an LED headlight

I have a mid-70's Yamaha Chappy in the garage, but alas, it needs a rebuild. I think it's burning transmission oil.
I had a 1970 Honda CT-70 Mini Trail that I restored and sold to the AMA museum about five years ago.
When I was a kid, I had 60cc two stroke Chibi Rockford, which, at the time, was seriously badass within the context of minibikes.
But what I've always wanted, was a basic orange and silver mid-60s, Briggs and Stratton powered mini-bike, just like my older brother had when I was seven years old. I have a five horse, side shaft engine in my barn, but I've never found the right frame.
Of course, if anyone here has one that they'd like to sell...

We have a few fun pit rides for Lemons.
The nicest is this, 2007 Yamaha c3. 49cc of fuel injected awesomeness. So easy to ride, always starts, fun to ride.
Second is our Jazzy scooter. Bought off of CL for $75 with dead batteries and a broken seat. Made a mount for a spare race seat, installed some Walmart lawn and garden batteries, party. No pics I can find and link from my phone
Third is the Jet Ski. Free stand up ski with no motor, $50 Craigslist electric scooter, mountain board trucks and custom extended frame and more walmart batteries and it is the most hella dangerous thing in the pits. No brakes, lean to steer. Also no linkable pics from my phone.

Ah I was curious who had the jet ski, lol. I had a crappy canoe that I wanted to make a motorized pit vehicle out of with a few GRM stickers but someone stole it
I just sold my old pit bike, a 1969 Z50A Honda. Replaced with a CT70 like Woody's except 1977 metallic orange.
Not trying to thread jack but, the CT70 has no spark and I don't know why.

Clean the grounds and every electrical connector that you can find. I forget the details, but there's some weird thing with these where they try to send all the voltage through the headlight bulb is everything is not right with the battery. Basically, clean everything and keep the battery charged.
Don't most tracks have a 5mph speed limit on motorized pit transportation ? Tracks around here are beginning to ban them altogether.

This. I fixed the no spark issue on my CT90 with a fresh battery.

2 doodlebugs with 212cc predator engines. One has a jackshaft drive, the other has a Chinese "torq-a-verter".
Neither are running because I went a little too mod happy. Unless you want to make a custom throttle linkage, leave the governors in place but back the adjustment all the way out.
I have a couple Suzuki minibikes. This is a 1971 MT50 Trailhopper
This is a 1973 RV90 Rover, also known in some countries as a VanVan.

As a guy with a spare honda gx390, im interested in details. For obvious reasons....
11hp minibike.....
Do pocketbikes count? I bought a blade 49r recently. Have an ongoing Gonzo thread in the off topic section about stuffing it with a smogcharger or nitro.
I have two. One is a 60s era frame, with a Briggs 3.5 on it. The other is a Mini Baja I picked up at the scrap yard for $7, and stuck a Predator engine on.
For some reason, I don't have pictures of either of them.

I have one, no idea who the manufacturer is it's got springs on the front forks and no rest suspension. It's got an old Briggs & Stratton probably from late sixties or early seventies that came off a power floor grinder. It's been in my shed for 20 years and I probably had it for 15 years before that. Someday I'll get around to restoring it.

I just bought some treaded golf kart tires and wheels and put together the pieces to build the bike basically from scratch, don't know what else I could tell you. Break out the welder and get to it

I had two late 70s garelli mopeds I got for free with plans to fix.
I sold them a few months later for 65 bucks.
