We have had too many tonight, and day dreaming about when it's safe to travel again.  Europe is in the cards. France has the 24hr durrr laymans. Learn me if it's worth my time seeing it. (Not the actual race, just the track)

I love the race, but not a fan of horrific traffic, so I've also been dreaming of visiting outside of the 24.

There's a museum dedicated to the race. A few years ago the Hotel de France was restored, a lot of the famous teams lodged there back in the day.

The Mulsanne straight is still a public highway, not sure how special it will feel in a rented Renault Twingo. I'm told traffic sucks around there, there's not a lot of public transport so everybody drives.

On a business trip years ago, I had the chance to go.  The museum is awesome.  There's a kart track next to the circuit, and you can say you raced at  Le Mans.  Yes driving a diesel Opel wagon on the public road section of the track is not the most exiting, but it may be a bucket list item for some.

Stopped by for a hot minute a couple years ago while visiting with a friend. We had like exactly 30 min till they closed so ran down to the grandstands above start finnish and pit lane. There was a private track day going on on the shorter full time circuit so got to see some ferrari and porsche and such running at speed.

I got to drive the Mulsane straight in 2012. Rental Renault, in traffic, with the local plumber's van in front. Maybe 45 KPH.
