In the past I've been a huge critic of K-Sport. I love to bash their products as cheap garbage. However, I've never actually experienced them first hand; I've only based my opinion on anecdotal evidence that I've read.

So, does anyone here have first hand experience with them? I've heard the following:

1.) Shock dyno's showing the coilover dampers have mismatched damping characteristics.

2.) Shocks failing way too soon.

These are my two largest concerns. I would gladly go with a Ground Control Setup, however, GC has discontinued production for the Scion xA/xB. Right now I have a Koni/Eibach setup which performs well, but I would like to lower the car further than it is now. Thanks for any input.

I had them on my Hyundai. What you've heard is true. They are cheap for a reason.

The Konis you have are light years better for dampening. What's so special about the xA/xB setup that you could use a sleeve from another car with the proper length/rate spring?

I'm not quite sure to tell you the truth. I'm not much of an engineer so I don't really have the mindset for that.

The rear suspension of my car is the odd part, in that it's a torsion beam setup, much like the Golf if I'm correct. I've tried to get in touch with GC before but they have been terrible in trying to communicate with via e-mail. Any idea's?

They suck at answering emails. Call them.

To put it another way, I had GC coilovers for a CRX (wishbone) on my Hyundai (macstrut) and now those same sleeves are on my brother's NC MX-5. Pretty much just changed the springs per application.

I wonder if something for the Golf would work on the rear...

Thanks for the help!

^ Agreed with the comments. I've helped remove two sets of Ksports now. And they were done. I pit K-Sport on the same level as the $20 eBay lowering springs. . .
