My son's project SAAB 900 Turbo turbo is not cooperating. We have one turbo in pieces and one whole turbo and they both have stud issues which I didn't catch until we were trying to put the whole one in the car.
I tried using my MAPP torch but I think the hot side of the turbo is too much of a heat sink to warm up enough to get the studs out and before I take it to a shop I figured I would ask on here.

if the studs stick out above the surface at all, how about an induction heater?
Have you tried heating the studs and putting a candle on them? Wax will wick into the crack, could help loosen them up
The last time I looked at those they were much more expensive so I hadn't thought about them.
I have an induction heater and various stud Extractor tools if you want to drop by the west side of Columbus sometime. Also a welder, no torch yet.
