I'm looking at a BMW 530i in Johnson City TN.
I was hoping someone in the area could give car a good shake down for me. The normal test drive up to interstate speeds and check out the general operation of the car. IT does have some passenger fender and door damage.
If anyone can help me out, I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks!!
I'm near Johnson City, too bad it's the one up in NY...
I am near Knoxville which is about 1.5 hrs from Johnson City. If you dont get any better offers, let me know by PM.
Johnson City? Isn't that where Fort Dix is located?
Fort Dix is in NJ . . .

Fort Dix is in NJ. At least the last time I checked... oh, berkeley, wait a minute, finally got it...
Thanks for checking out the car for me Tyler . . . the videos provided a snicker or two
I'm going there Saturday to pick it up. Best case scenario(s) . . . PCV issue and oil in the intake. I have parts on the shelf to fix that. My mechanic enjoyed the smoke show and thinks it's a PCV issue as well. If it's worse than that, he has a 4.0L motor from a project that never took off Worse case scenario . . . I could part it out and make all my $$$ + some spare change back
Good luck! The car has a lot of potential if you can cure the smoking.
Here are some preliminary shots of my (new) 530i
The salvage yard not far from here has a black fender, hood, rear passenger side door and gas door set aside for me :)
DIRTY!!! That's the word for the interior. A good vacuum will go a LONG way. The door panels need some attention (no surprise there). But almost everything in there works; it does need a suspension refresh.
After I rearrange the garage today, I may pull the intake, give it a good cleaning and put on this PCV I have on shelf.
