I'm planning to help a friend move to California in July- after that I'll need to figure out how to get back to Pennsylvania. Anyone have (or want to start shopping for) something that they want moved from the West coast to the East coast for free? Car, truck, or motorcycle- I'll drive it back to my place in PA and then get it to you free of charge if you're relatively close by.
What part of California should I start searching?
Delivery to Minneapolis included?
Geez...yeah, what John said.

Friend is moving to Los Angeles, but I know of a place I could probably convince somebody to stash a vehicle in San Francisco area also.

I think the question here is, how much of an adventure are you intrested in?
Claims to run and drive...
Now the quest is on for the oddest thing to get you to drive 3k miles!

I especially like that the ad for that Plymouth says "moving east and can't take this car." Oh yeah? Watch me!
As far as how sketchy the vehicle can be, I like a challenge but if there's an overwhelming likelihood of it blowing up we're going to need to come to an agreement about who foots the bill when I have to swap major components en route.

Plymouth says that it has PA registration. Maybe they just need you to drive it to PA for them.
In reply to John Welsh (Moderate Supporter) :
I actually just emailed them to offer that service.
When you're out here, feel free to reach out if you need anything, especially mechanically!

If you ask Chris to drive this back to you there's at least a 99% chance he's going to choose the most direct route that includes waterways.

Hey do you still have that old rally car?
I’d think anything rust free and post-76 that would have trouble passing CA emissions would be cheap enough you could buy it in CA, and sell it in PA and cover the whole cost of the trip...
So the other thread tangent about overpriced Chargers made me ponder... "maybe prices would be better out in CA? Then have Chris drive it back to PA?"
That answer would be a No...
Oh look... A driving project car for a bargain price... at least it is a 440 R/T car, but damn... $35K?
After that, I got nothing... carry on.

"hey man, just want to let you know YOUR '67 VW Beetle had some oil pressure issues and is parked in the back of the Burger King lot in Gallup, NM. I gotta get a flight back cause I need to be at work on Monday. The keys are in the ashtray and I wouldn't let it sit there too long. Bye."
