I got my Bay of E chinesium fender roller on Friday and after realizing that I still cannot read Chinese, I assembled it via the fuzzy black and white pictures. Thanks to Keith for the video, I tried it out and it works surprisingly well. Only had time to do one fender before real life beckoned, but I'm glad I got it. Now just need time to complete the rest of them.
Is there any downside to rolling fenders? I have wondered why they don't just come like that from the factory if its just free tire clearance.

How much extra clearance should the factory supply? If it's too much, it looks dorky. Stock tires on an 1990 Miata were 185s on a 5.5" wheel. You can run 225s on an 8" wheel without any rolling or modifications. That's pretty good. But then, as soon as you can run 225s, some nut wants 245s or 275s.
Note that stamping out a fender with a lip that is bent at an angle of more than 90* gets pretty complex.
