Fwd Volvo turning circle is directly related to the size of the tires. There are 3 different steering stops, depending on 15",16" or 17" wheels. 17 inchers are a bit wide for turnong circle, and I don't think the performance gain is worth the darting and harshness.

You can watch my old R do laps around Roebling. S60R - Camera man is an E46 M3

The car itself is pretty solid. There are a few things to watch out for:

1) Check the AWD. Look under the front at the AWD distribution unit. If you see liquid seeping... RUN

2) If you track the R, the AWD could overheat and just stop working, i.e. becomes FWD without notification.

3) If you upgrade the springs, you will have to get the ECM recalibrated.

4) It can be modded up to ~400hp without problem. After that, the cylinder walls are not capable of supporting the boost.

Now, having said all of that, I miss my R more than any other car I have owned. The V is an all out sleeper.
