314hp V6, 6-Speed Manual, RWD, Limited Slip, Manual Hand Brake, unique suspension.
Unfortunately it will only be sold in Japan and only 350 models will be made. It will also cost around $49k US. Oh well.

Berk. Remind me in 20 years.
This kicks the snot out of the new "supra" imho.

If they are really thinking about us they will fix the 86's torque flat spot

Just imagine a factory 2jz rocketbunny edition. You wouldn't see the dealership through the vape smoke. I might even want one.

Or put a manual in the new Supra.

This is more of a dig at people that say that Toyota only sells Beige cars. They don’t, we just don’t get the good stuff here.
I’m fully aware of the Stinger GT, but people still always wish Toyota sells stuff like that here.

The old platform was based on the Crown platform, this is the new one that is based more on the Lexus GS or RS.

If you are paying attention you would notice there is no Manual Kia Stinger.
However, there is a manual Genesis G70 with a limited slip.
Toyota quit thinking about us at least 25 years ago...and went for the $ from the unwashed masses that far outnumber us and subscribe to Consumer Reports instead of GRM.
I'm not crazy about the exterior but i am definitely loving the interior. It reminds me of what a post-FRS modern day IS300/Altezza interior would be like. I love the simplicity of it.
If they had ever made a 6spd manual GS350 I would already have bought it and given it this treatment myself, although of course id be 'stuck' with the wonderful GS interior instead of this purposeful sporty-looking minimalist thing which i also really like.
314hp isnt enough. We're in 2019 come on Toyota!
I'd like to see a Japanese competitor to AMG's and M cars.

Lexus F-cars hold their own now that everyone has gone automatic. The LC500 is better than an m6 or s6 IMO, and the IS-F/GS-F are good sporty sedans.

Drive something with a 22R in it sometime. 314 is plenty.

Those are cool cars that are somehow forgettable.
I love it...sport sedan is my favorite genre of car. I wish I could have the driving dynamics of BMW with everything else Japanese Toyota reliability.

It’s tuned specifically to this car. Just springs and shocks it looks like.
Aren't all suspensions tuned to the car?

Nope, on many cheap cars suspension is chosen by parts-bin engineering and tuned exactly none.

I agree with all of this. My first reaction was "that looks a lot like my FRS inside" and I love the layout in that car.
