I don't think many smog techs are going to visually be able to tell a PI engine from a non-PI engine. They look nearly identical unless you're a giant mod motor nerd (ie you know whether the front-most runner on the intake goes to the passenger or driver side).
So to me, fear of not passing smog due to a PI swap is a non-issue.
That is a great ad, feel like I should look on CL more often. The only part I don't like is this:
"It had racing buckets, rear seat delete, and a 4-point roll bar. I had no plans to race it and so I spent the latter part of my ownership sourcing parts to return the interior to original condition so I could take my daughter to C&C events"
Not bothered by the track history, just that he took the buckets out!
