I love them and I can't think of a better wheel for Susie, but I also don't want her to just be like every other Mustang out there.  Anyone have any input on a better wheel?

An example is below, if you don't know it

Even newer Mustangs look good with torque thrust editions in larger sizes today.

I like the look of Halibrands on Mustangs too.

Halibrands are good! I also like the Magnum 500.

Problem is none of these get you away from looking like every other Mustang.

It’s a classic look, in the best way possible. Even better when it’s a reasonable wheel diameter like the Mustang in the original post. Classic cars look chintzy with giant wheels and low profile tires, in my opinion.

There are a bunch of period(ish) wheels that look killer on there. I like the minilite style

They do look good on those mustangs but I've seen torque thrusts in so many applications where they look so wrong it's just about ruined them for me.

Torque thrusts and early mustangs go together like Chinese food and chocolate pudding!

There is no more natural combination (in my mind).

You won't be like every other Mustang, because too many people stick to the awful stock hubcaps.

I would also consider chrome Torq Thrusts, but the ones in the first post are good too.

Magnum 500s are also good.

The Chevelle for OPGI on Hot Rod Garage ended up with a set of those (season 2?)  Not sure if I had never seen a set, or just never seen a set done well, but it looked berking awesome

I think the first time I ever saw Torq Thrust wheels on a classic was on a 60s Cougar.  Car was painted yellow and the spokes of the wheel were as well.  I really liked it for some reason.

Which, the wheels, the paint that matches the color of the car, all of the above?

What would be a better choice?

The wheels. Google 1st Gen mustang and 99 percent are on some variation of Torq Thrust. Same with car shows, they lack imagination with the same cookie cutter spec sheet.

SN95 cobras look good

Billet specialties

Something a bit different

No. They are the high water mark by which all other wheels aspire to be.

In reply to ChrisLS8 :

Don't mind the ones on the white car, but the other two are just too modern for me.  If I were shoving an EcoBoost 2.3L in there I wouldn't have a problem with them, but other than the T5 and electronic ignition the car is firmly in the 60s or early 70s.  It doesn't mesh to me.

I wouldn't mind a more modern take on the Torq Thrust wheels, or a modern version of any of the classic muscle car wheels, but those dont do it for me.

Clicked on this thread to suggest Minilites myself. Magnum 500s are a little more common but they definitely look good.
