My $.02 is that I'd be interested in an article on automotive paint. Little bit of history on how it's changed over the decades, what qualities are hard to create, where the technology's going, what materials are most difficult to obtain adhesion/durability, what aesthetic effects are hardest to do, etc.
FWIW.
EDIT: I just saw the thread on paint blending. I was unaware of that prior to posting this one... Strange how the universe works sometimes.

Painting a car is kinda like child-rearing. No two people will agree on a method or a definition of an acceptable result. And by the time you are done and feeling good or bad about the results, the technology will have changed to the point where your life lessons are useless.
I would like to see a true DIY low buck comparison. Maybe do it at the next challenge. 3 readers each one brings a car and does a one day repaint. Tractor enamel, plastidip and wrap maybe. Would be fun to watch and see the results.
