Got a line on a 75 and a 75 Lancia beta Coupes. One is a full driver (the 75) and one is a parts car (the 78)

Both were on ebay a week ago and i was the losing bidder. Well, the winning bidder flaked out and I got the second chance.

Now i just need to get them to Atlantic City, NJ from Richmond, Va. I am sure I can drive the 75 if I take it easy and stay away from I95 as much as possible.. but I need to figure out how to get the 78 up here

RVA! My hometown. Are you buying from the Sports Car Workshop on Boulevard?

these two were on CL previously. I thought hard about it before realizing that adding two old Italians to my two old Brits would probably result in bankruptcy and divorce (not necessarily in that order).

I am considering leaving the 78 behind.. sad to say, that is a LONG trip for a parts car

I'm near Richmond and I saw at least one of those on CL. But with 5 cars, a truck and a motorcycle, I didn't need it.

I picked it out of the spamblocker when I saw you PMed me.

I will think about it.. I would prefer to take the bus/train/ or fly down to go get it myself. I might need a ride from the station/airport to it though

thanks.. I appreciate it

part of the fun of buying a car in a far off place is the adventure in getting it and bringing it back. It's like going hunting and coming back with a big important kill. The story is worth the pain and suffering

I wish I had a free day and a few less brain cells, I'd offer to give you a ride down there with my truck and trailer in exchange for letting me tow the parts car home. I dont think a Lemons Lancia has been done yet.

This is my old Beta Coupe right after we painted her

well, I talked to the seller today. he is going to strip the parts car for me and stuff as much as he can into the trunk. Seems he has had trouble selling these cars and just wants them gone.

Which is good for me

Your picture of that yellow Coupe is making me consider taking off the big heavy US Bumpers and leaving them off. I considered getting the euro ones.. but it looks pretty good without

Anybody got a line on the smaller Euro bumpers these cars SHOULD have?

Congrats. I'm still amazed at how "cheap" you were able to get the pair, really thought they would've gone higher. Good score. Depending on the day if you come through Fredericksburg feel free to stop by for some bench racing.

supposedly the guy had a REALLY hard time getting rid of them. Had them on ebay (buyer flaked out) CL (no bites) and even a couple of forums where nobody even responded.

works in my favour

depending on the price to ship.. I might have the car dropped off with you guys for a cam belt, water pump, and fluids change and then come down and get it.
