The Stant 320i 'stat hose barbs were the right size for the Audi hoses. I happen to have a lathe in the basement, so it took me just a couple minutes to turn an aluminum barbed cap the same approximate size as the ones on the stat. I'm purged every memory of that car from my mind, so hopefully which hose it goes in can be interpolated or extrapolated from the pictar of the inline 'stat in situ.
And I do genuinely feel for you being in these straits, but I'm overjoyed that my tiny contribution to the GRM collective archive was useful, and very curiously, I maybe check in here every few months, and I just popped in a saw my Audi thermostat sob story had zombie-threaded!
