Has anyone been insane enough to try this? I know there are tons of suspension mods out there but is it basically putting lipstick on a pig or do they make them handle ok? Is the steering the usual american affair (aka no feel at all)?

I will be giving it a shot. 81 Malibu with Hotchkis TVS, tubular arms etc. with A6's to stick it to the pavement. Jeep steering shaft upgrade and possibly a Lee box/pump setup.

It's been done quite a few times. They are used in circle track quite a bit so there are plenty of parts for them. Hotchkis, Global West and others make parts for them. Mark at http://scandc.com/new/ has done a lot with them and can help you out with what works and what doesn't.
