That setup was on the short list for the Jensenator repower. Short list, in order: 13B rotary, 13BT rotary, Lexus V8/Supra tranny, SRT4/Liberty bellhousing/Supra tranny.
I still get the grins whenever I think of the Lexus V8 swap. There's plenty of room, it just might happen...

if were on the topic of motors to swap in, seriously why am i the first to say lsx? anyhows i still think the best plan is to just stick a 1.6 longblock, that is if the lump really is bad. afterall, p71, if its intermittent ur prolly in good shape relatively speaking (YES UR STILL P71 TO ME!)
Yeah, the motor is probably A-OK. I have the OEM wires in the garage somewhere, I should stick those back on to see if it makes a difference.
