Did the new beetle turbos come with DSG automatics? If so did they come with the paddle shifters?

Any one have any experience with these cars? I like the looks of the 2012+ cars, and looks like you can use GTI suspension parts on them?

not looking right now but thought might be a fun little commuter.

Depends when. If I look up a 2013 NB Turbo 6sp AT it comes up with an 02E code trans in the crossref which is a DSG. If you do some digging on car part finder with year by year trans codes I think you can figure it out. I think all the 6sp AT will be DSG as the slushboxes were still 5sp.

I thought only the R's came with the DSG. The rest of the lineups all came with standard 6 speed autos.

Not mine. Of course, it didn't even come with the turbo.

I had one for a rental on a work trip and thought it was above average. I work a lot on the road so I drive a lot of rentals and would put it in the top 5. If I remember right it had paddle shifting. Rental was in 2018 so I assume that the car was a '17 or '18.

Likely year dependent but the mk5/6 GTI/GLI all got the DSG and after 11 or so the Passat/CC had them at least with the V6.
