To read this sad news serves as a reminder to how I regret the many on this board that I have have never met in person as well as reminds me of the thankfulness for those which I have actually met.

I never met Brian but he touched my life.

As final tribute and to serve as a reminder this link will take you to the most recently active Posts which Brian commented into. Actually, it will take you to everything he ever originated or commented on. All he ever wrote into this GRM board version.

For Sesto and others who met Brian, maybe this link can provide you with some continued "conversation" or reconversation with Brian on the days when the loss feels too great.

I am genuinely tearing while writing this.
A harsh reminder of how brief and how fragile it all is.

Godspeed

Oh man.... I remember his posts about being sick and selling off some of his stuff. Judging by how he was on here, and that a couple of you were really close with him outside of the forum, he seemed like a really great guy and he will be missed. My deepest condolences to his family and friends.

Even in the darkest of hours it's not about the idea that you never may complete a project as you envisioned to enjoy it, it's that OTHERS won't get to enjoy what you felt a vehicle can be transformed into. He clearly wants his son to be able to look back and reflect upon who his father is. We need to finish the projects he started, get them out to an autocross or 2 a year in order to keep them fresh and in working order and come up with a long term storage solution so that his son gets the opportunity to enjoy and own Dad's project.
We were building a challenge car for him at work. It's a 95 crammit. I have been thinking that a good way to honor him would be to try and work out a deal, finish it, and do the challenge to honor his memory. We'll see how it goes but I talked with him about it and he said it would make him happy.

I'm too far away to be of much help wrenching, but I've got a 98 Crammit parts car and you're more than welcome to anything you need off of it for the build. Brian already has the Konis and springs off it, but I've got sway bars, braided stainless brake lines, LS1 brakes, ect. Whatever you want/need, let me know, I'd be more than happy to send a big goody bag.

Damn this hurts. I remember him telling us this was coming. He met it head on. I even tried to work out getting his Superbeetle, but just couldn't make it work.

My condolences to the family. Sorry I never met him.

Sad news.

At least we can take solace that he seems to have been prepared for it with regards to his family. Doesn't hurt any less.

I'd love it if we had a memorial page for those that we have lost here. Just a brief description of who they were and maybe a couple pictures of some projects they were working on and a link to their board posts.

I have some VW A2 bits and odd 944 pieces that the group can have to help with projects of his. I don’t think I'm close enough to wrench.

I have family in Danbury, CT as of this past year, I'd be up for lending a hand, though largely an unskilled one, in wrenching sometime. I also owe some folks up there, Woody in particular, a beer or 2.
