I found a pair of Austin Healey 998cc engine for fairly cheap and I think they may be turning into a coffee table for my living room sometime soon. Unlike V8s which seems to be measured often for swapping engines I can't seem to find any dimensional information on the Sprite or Mini engines. Can anyone here show me a link or image with some dimensions? Are they heavy enough for two people to handle lifting a long block?

Thanks!

I remember from my Sprite days (400 years ago!) that they were damn heavy for such a small engine. Dense British Iron! Get help from at least one other person!

Gimme until tomorrow. Do you want oilpan included in the dimensions? I think I still have one from a Sprite, that I could throw onto a block. Head? Valve cover?

A bare block - main bearing caps only - weighs just under 70lbs.

They're tiny - less than 2' long. I've got a 948 in the garage next to the MkII Sprite which has a built 1275. I'll measure tomorrow in the ayem.
