We got the M2 and XM to drive. We'll reveal our thoughts soon, but in the mean time, if you have questions, feel free to ask. We'll answer them after our time with them.

I haven't seen the M2 in person, though I wouldn't be shocked if it at least looked different in person.
Seems like manufactures are continuing to build cars that don't always photograph well.

It looks great in person, especially in that color. There was one at Love Field a couple weeks ago.

Beauty truly is in the eye of the beholder. Having seen both models in person at the Daytona 24, my answer would be that they are much worse in person. And I think they're awful in pictures!
BMW really putting the adage that it doesn't matter what it looks like when you're driving it to the test with these ones...
Edit:
My question would be: are they in fact enough of an improvement over the last-gen M2 or an optioned-up X8 or X5M (also ugly IMO) in order to offset the ugly in the case of the M2 and additional cost in the case of the XM?
Also re: M2; why should one not just buy a manual Supra?
^ I fit in an M240i the M2 is a way to one with a clutch pedal. I've made peace with the transformer styling assuming it's really really fast by all currently delivered accounts it is. I just dont get the pastel colors, we've made a car shaped like Darth Vader's helmet what color should it be... I know powder blue!!!
Using the C-pillar as a headrest is not my idea of a good time so the Supra is a hard no for me.

Great questions. I'll definitely incorporate my feelings about those into the final published piece.
