Is there anywhere to buy replacement rubber dust seals, grommets, and "caliper bolt bushings" that are used on brake caliper slide pins?

In particular, the rubber piece that sits in the bracket and the caliper slide bolt slides into are torn up or missing. I'm considering trying to find some tubing the right ID and OD to take up the slop around the bolt - if I can't find replacements.

I ran the car with one bushing missing - discovered it missing at the track with no time to fix, and I wound up shearing the bolt and generally making a mess of the brakes on that corner - pads, disk, and caliper piston all ruined. Looking to not repeat that!

Parts in question belong on a 1st gen RX7.

Rock Auto doesn't list them, nor do any of the RX7 specialty catalogs I know of. Any way to get these type of parts without buying a whole new caliper/bracket combo?

Thanks, Neil

I'd take some careful diameter measurements and head for the junkyard with a micrometer. There are tons of cars and trucks out there now with that style of mounting hardware.

You may have to (gulp) get them from the dealer at their ugly prices. The other possibility is they may come in a caliper rebuild kit.

Yeah, I'm not sure the dealer offers this stuff. Lots of of parts are nla for first gens.

I was hoping to find something like a grainger for automotive hardware. The reman companies usually include this stuff if you get calipers with brackets, so it must be available somewhere.

you are talking about the "bellows"? I would go on a junkyard crawl.. I know Hyundai's use them

Caliper bushings - maybe Mazdaspeed Motorsports Development has the parts? Other than that I'd look for brass bushings the right size in the McMaster catalog.

I just left Lowe's with a bag full of possibilities.

I have some vinyl tubing and various nylon, steel, and brass bushings. None are an exact fit, but I am confident I can make something work. I am somewhat confident I can do so without causing it to bind up.
