I am starting a Challenge car, a 2005 CV LX Sport bought for scrap value with a bad transmission. I have pulled the transmission and am looking for a replacement but it seems very difficult to locate one with the same code 5W7P 7000 DA in the junk yards. Does anyone know if there is another code that is compatible? Additionally, let me know if you need any LX Sport interior bits. They are all coming out shortly.

4R70W or 4R75W should be the magic code you're looking for. Any 02-05 transmission from any panther should bolt right in, the 4R70E(75e?) From the 06 and newer will bolt in but has an electrical connection that needs figured out, I'm pretty sure there's an adapter available.
