I can see being locked up is making some of us a bit angsty. I dig the off-beat sound of the UEL on a Subie. I almost put on one on my BRZ when I had it.
It definitely sounds better, to me that is, than the guys in Vette/Camaro/Mustang circles that think removing the resonators and putting on Flowmasters sounds good.
Of course to me, nothing will ever sound better than a V10. If I one the lottery tomorrow (of course I'd need to buy a ticket first), I would immediately go out and overpay for any LFA that happened to be for sale.

In reply to Trent (Generally supportive dude) :
That's really unfortunate, Trent, and kind of sounds similar to what drove me away from Mustangs.
It's probably an indication we need an amended license type for people under 30: 199hp or less, no mechanical modifications, no factory power adders, and at most 6 cylinders.
(And typing this out, I am wondering how much having strict emissions testing, as we do where I am, can also help control this kind of E36 M3.)

There are plenty of vehicles available for $5-8k with less HP that are FAR faster than nearly anything normal people can afford. They just have 2 wheels instead of 4.
But does that mean we can also have an amended license for those closing in on an AARP membership?
