What one aspect of car design makes you weak in the knees? I’m not talking about a specific car, but one design feature. For me, there are two things that come to mind. First is the flying buttress rear window treatment. That’s the first thing that struck me about the Fiero, that rear window design. Still gets me today. Here are a few other examples.
Those cars just wouldn’t look as good with a conventional, flush rear window.
The other one is when the fender line kicks up over the rear wheels. It just looks strong! While the Ford GT is a great looking car, it’s those rear fenders that make me giddy like a little school boy when I see one.

There’s one design trend that’s killing me today. It’s the predator-face that Lexus started, and others are following

So, what does it for you?

I'm a sucker for dramatic Coke-bottle curves:

+1 on coke bottle styling. For me, it started when I first read of it describing the '68-70 Charger, although it obviously is better demonstrated in many Euro cars.

And like the OP, flying buttress rear c-pillar & window glass too - again - '68-70 Charger.

Curves. Smooth, polished, undulating, unadorned, uninterrupted curves.

Same thing goes for cars.

I thought Audi started the gaping maw grill design, but Lexus, tired of copying MB designs pointed the vertical sides inward

I think it was Bob Lutz who described those kinds of cars as looking like angry kitchen appliances.
