I have several 60's and 70's cars that uses ceramic fuses. Where are you getting replacements from? I was told to stick with copper filaments and not aluminum or brass. Prices are all over the map which is nuts. So where are you getting them from?

Go to junkyard, find a 80s Mercedes, empty fuse box.

GBC8 are white, GBC16 are red, GBC25 are blue. All I ever watch for is whether the body is ceramic (proper) or plastic.(not proper)

Our local Napa stocks them here in WV.

Geeze. I just buy whatever is available. Sometimes I get the atomically crappy EMPI plastic ones from the place that sells aircooled VW parts. Other times it is whatever NAPA has.

I never have any problem with any of them. When a fuse blows I tend to think along the lines of "huh, I need to pull out a meter and see what is drawing so much current" instead of "damn cheap fuses"

Ceramic fuses need to be changed, and the fusebox tabs snugged up every 5 years or so. Its an onerous task...
